Continuing to enjoy the success of his acting career, James Franco made an appearance at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival yesterday (April 21) in New York City.
The "Spring Breakers" star rocked a pinstripe blue-and-white suit as he presented the trailer of his documentary "The Director," which he produced. The film surrounds the story of Gucci creative director Frida Giannini.
While discussing the film, Frida dished about how the documentary came to be. "The idea of the documentary was really born out of a provocation. James Franco and I were asked to interview each other for a special magazine feature and what I asked him, 'What's your next project?' he replied, 'to make a documentary about you.' I thought it was his dry sense of humor at play, but then somehow the provocation became reality."
"It is difficult coming to terms with multiple cameras following you everywhere and being wired for sound. However, having known James for a number of years now, there is a good chemistry between us and I also have great respect for him and mulct-faceted talents," she added.
Mr. Franco teamed up with director Christina Voros for the project, who he previously worked with on the set of "127 Hours."
