Back in 2011 the second installment of the ?Hangover? franchise nabbed $10.4 in midnight sales, setting a new R-rated film record, and it doesn?t look like ?The Hangover Part III? had what it took to beat its predecessor.
Last night (May 22) the Bradley Cooper flick nabbed around $3.1 million for its midnight showing, however the upcoming Memorial Day weekend could turn things around.
Unfortunately, the wolfpack will have to tangle with Vin Diesel and the ?Fast and Furious 6? crew, as they are looking to bring in somewhere north of the $80 million mark.
Nevertheless, ?The Hangover Part III? looks promising and insiders are predicting a Thursday-Monday gross near $85 million.
